Allergies

We have several students/staff with significant allergy issues, which can cause anaphylaxis reactions.  Our allergy alerts are with Peanuts/Tree Nuts, Visible Eggs, Fish/Shellfish, Sesame, Hummas, Sunflower Seeds and Sunflower Protein. Regarding the egg allergy, visible eggs, like an egg salad sandwich or egg on a salad, will not be permitted. If an egg is in a baked goods product like cookies or bread, it will be okay. It is important that the school is informed immediately if your child has allergies or other medical concerns. 

Given the similarities in appearance, texture and taste, peanut butter replacement products that are currently on the market will continue to be restricted in schools where a student has a peanut allergy, this includes Roncalli Elementary School. No peanut butter replacement products, are permitted in our school.

Note that we are also a Scent Aware School; Please refrain from using scented products if you are coming into our school.
